Opening for Part-Time Cook


Pilot Dogs is hiring for the position of Part-Time Cook. This a part-time, non-exempt position, that will predominantly work weekends but may be requested to work other shifts as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable around large dogs and have experience working with or around people with disabilities.


Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:


• Preparation of meals in accordance with Ohio Health standards and practices.

• Preparing specialized meals for individuals with specific diets.

• Inventorying and stocking food.

• Being in complete charge of the dining room/kitchen.

• Cleaning and preparing the kitchen/dining room before and after every meal.


Successful candidates will display the following abilities:


• Ability to follow directions.

• Communicate with all levels of the organization, including people with disabilities.

• Coordinate with others as needed.

• Organize and plan meals for people with different dietary needs.

Pilot Dogs is hiring for the position of Volunteer Coordinator. 


This is a 30-40 hour a week, non-exempt position, that will require a flexible schedule that is dependent on the needs of the business.  The ideal candidate will have prior management and/or volunteer coordinator experience. 


Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:·  

 


     · Recruit volunteers for various roles within theorganization.
· Present Pilot Dogs mission and service opportunities to community organizations, student groups, faculty, community members, and staff to recruit volunteers.
· Coordinate all volunteers required criminal history checks for participation in a volunteer event.
· Establish and regularly update volunteer schedules and list of events.
· Communicate and engage regularly with volunteers through check-in phone calls, e-mails, and personal appreciation for their efforts.
· Be able to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
· Maintain detailed records of all volunteers information, assignments, and volunteer hours.
· Recommend and establishment of policies and procedures for in-service training, work hours, and types of service to be performed by volunteers.
· Collect, manage, and compile feedback for all parties involved in the volunteer program, including volunteers, staff, and community members through written reports, testimonials, and verbal comments.
· Share feedback with supervisors to acknowledge strengths, successes, and to make improvements for future volunteer activities.
· Work with supervisors to plan on-going and/orannual volunteer appreciation events.
